Checks if the printer is connected to the phone line and ready for fax transmission, and prints the check result on
A4 size plain paper.
Fax Setting Wizard
Select the menus on the control panel as described below.
Settings > General Settings > Fax Settings > Fax Setting Wizard
Select to make basic fax settings by following the on-screen instructions. For details, see the page that describes
basic fax settings.
Receive Settings
Select the menus on the control panel as described below.
Settings > General Settings > Fax Settings > Receive Settings
Fax Output Settings
You can set to save received documents in the inbox or on a computer. Select the menus on the control panel as
described below.
Save to Inbox:
Saves received faxes in the printer's inbox.
Save to Computer:
Converts received documents into PDF format and saves them on a computer connected to the printer.
Print Settings
Select the menus on the control panel as described below.
Auto Reduction:
Reduces large received documents to fit on the paper in the paper source. Reducing may not always be
possible depending on the received data. If this is turned off, large documents are printed at their
original size on multiple sheets, or a blank second page may be ejected.
Split Page Settings:
Make split page settings when the size of the received document is larger than the size of the paper
loaded in the printer.
Auto Rotation:
Rotates faxes received as landscape-orientated, A5 size documents so that they are printed on the
correct paper size. This setting is applied when the paper size setting is set to A5. Check the following
menu.
