while taking readings. If operating the instrument in direct sunlight, cover
the cell holder with the light shield cap supplied with the accessories.
The light shield cap, supplied with the accessories, can be used instead of
closing the cell compartment cover, and always should be used when
operating the instrument in direct sunlight (refer to Figure 9).
