General Information
The Pour-Thru Cell Kit is an optional accessory for the DR 5000 Spectrophotometer. The
Pour-Thru cell improves measurement accuracy, as zeroing, measurements and
measurement comparisons are carried out under the same optical conditions. As the
samples all flow through the same cell, errors attributable to the different optical
characteristics of individual cells are excluded. The Pour-Thru is designed to allow the
samples to be introduced into the cell without having to handle the cell in any way.
There are three types of Pour-Thru cells; a 1-inch cell, 1-cm cell and a 5-cm cell. Only the
quartz cells (1 cm and 5 cm) can be used over the entire wavelength range. The 1-inch
Pour-Thru cell can be used in the visible spectrum (340 to 900 nm).
