Pressure Relief Procedure

Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure whenever
you see this symbol.
This equipment stays pressurized until pressure is
manually relieved. To help prevent serious injury from
pressurized fluid, such as splashing fluid, follow the
Pressure Relief Procedure when you stop spraying
and before cleaning, checking, or servicing the
equipment
To relieve pressure in your ProMix PD proportioner,
follow the pressure relief procedure in your ProMix PD
Operation manual.
Relieve pressure in auto lube system using two
wrenches working in opposite directions on the G3
pump element and the pump element fitting to slowly
loosen fitting only until fitting is loose and no more
lubricant or air is leaking from fitting.
NOTE: When loosening pump element fitting, do NOT
loosen pump element. Loosening pump element will
change the output volume.

Catalyst Pump Rod Guard TSL
Maintenance
To extend pump life, bleed fresh TSL into the rod guard
during TSL replacement. The bleed process ensures
that all of the air is removed from the rod guard and
bearing cartridge, eliminating wet air contamination
during the TSL replacement process.
1. Follow the pressure relief procedure in your ProMix
PD Operation manual. Shut off the PD unit.
2. Remove and thoroughly clean the rod guard.
3. Refill the rod guard (13) with TSL.
4. Place the rod guard (13) over the lower piston rod.
a. Partially thread the rod guard (13) onto the
pump but do not seat the rod guard o-ring (12)
against the pump. This allows air to bleed when
filling the TSL
b. Connect the TSL reservoir hose (18) to the
guard barb fitting (17).
5. Fill the Reservoir, and let gravity fill the TSL lines.
6. Thread the guard back on the pump when the TSL
begins to overflow the guard.
