10. Inspection/Maintenance

WARNING : ELECTRIC SHOCK/INJURY
 Do not touch output terminals or internal electric parts while the generator is
operating.
 Do not open the check door when the Power Switch is in the ON position. It
will cause injury by rotating parts such as cooling fans and fan belt.
 Always turn the Power Switch to the OFF position and stop the engine, then
close and lock OPERATION PANEL DOOR before checking or maintaining
the engine or any equipment.
 Do not lift up using tie downs. Use of such could result in the generator falling.
 No persons should ever be under a lifted generator.
CAUTION : FIRE
 Always be sure to wipe up any spilled fuel or oil.
CAUTION : BURNS
 Do not touch the engine and surrounding components immediately after
stopping the engine as they are still extremely hot.
 Do not open the radiator cap immediately after stopping the engine. Do so
will result in steam gushing out.
 Hot steam gushes out from the coolant subtank if the generator overheats.
Do not touch the coolant subtank.
CAUTION : INJURY
 Personnel performing lifting work must wear protective gears such as
helmets, safety shoes and gloves.
 Always be sure to use lifting hooks when lifting up the generator, and slowly
lift it straight up.
Perform periodic inspection and maintenance according to the following table in order to
constantly maintain this generator in good working condition. Use the hour meter as a
reference for the operating time.

 All procedures except for pre-operation inspection should be performed by specialized
technicians.
 Request authorized distributor where the generator was purchased to perform the procedures
in the table with a "".
 Always be sure to use genuine parts or those indicated specifically for replacement parts.
 Use a container to catch fluid bled from this generator that is large enough to prevent the fluid
from spilling on the ground.
Dispose of oil, fuel, coolant (LLC), filter, battery and other hazardous materials according to
laws and regulations concerning industrial waste.
Contact authorized distributor where the generator was purchased if you have any inquiries
regarding proper disposal.
 When check doors are open during maintenance, take measures so that unrelated personnel
cannot accidentally come close to the generator. Close all doors and covers if you are going to
be away from this generator.
 Please be careful about a strong wind and the opening and shutting of the door at the sloping
place enough. When door is opened or closed suddenly, a finger might be sandwiched.
