These are stored on a ROM chip which is installed in your priner. They cannot be erased. These fonts reside in the printer’s RAM or in a ROM chip. Changing the point size and magnification prints a smooth font. There is no jaggedness at any point size, because the font is created from an equation every time it is used. -

Scalable fonts are smooth at any point size or magnification. The scalable font is a proportionally spaced font. Therefore, the field height and width varies with each letter. -
