If you connect an authentication device to the external interface USB port, you cannot use the port to connect a USB drive to
save the scanned image.

Inserting a USB Drive

Insert a USB drive into the external interface USB port.

Removing a USB Drive

Remove a USB drive.
Important:

If you remove the USB drive device while transferring data to the scanner, the data on the USB drive may be lost.
Also, backup the data in the USB drive to another media as necessary.
The data may be lost or corrupted in the following situations:
