Automatic Emergency Steering will not activate in the following situations.
• Pre-Collision Braking System is off.
• BSD/RCTA is off.
• The obstacle is an oncoming vehicle.
• A cyclist, pedestrian or vehicle is crossing in front of your vehicle.
• There is not enough space to avoid a collision, or another object has been
detected in the area around the space for avoiding a collision.
• Objects are approaching from the front or rear of your vehicle.
• The lane or lane markings cannot be detected.
• Pre-Collision Braking System is active due to guardrails or other structures.
• The system determines steering control cannot avoid a collision.
• The EyeSight system has a malfunction.
• The EyeSight system has stopped temporarily.
When Automatic Emergency Steering activates, an interruption screen appears on the com-
bination meter display for a certain period of time to notify you of the activation.

