6 Troubleshooting

Problem
Unwanted white space at top or bottom
of label.
Gap distance is off.
Printing starts at wrong point on label or
skips a label.
Printing over the gap on to next label.
Printing is off on labels that are non-
standard.
Unwanted white space at left or right side
of label.
Unwanted white space on the right side
of the label.
Image does not cover entire label.
Labels are skipped during printing.
Labels will not exit the printer.

Cause
Printing is vertically offset.
Non-standard label shape
installed.
Wrong page size set.
Portrait / landscape setting is
incorrect.
The supply gap sensor needs
adjustment.
Printing is horizontally offset.
Page size is not large enough for
the label.
Image is smaller than size of label. Enlarge image to fill size of label.
Page size is wrong.
Left margin offset is wrong.
Top of Form (TOF) setting is off.
Excess ink on label backing.
Labels could be jammed inside.

Adjust the left margin offset by
increasing the number of extra
white space is on the left side of
the label or decreasing the
number on the right side. Refer to

Increase the page size width and
height each by .05 inches. Refer

Decrease the left margin offset by
a value of 6 (or .025 inches). Refer
to
"Adjusting Print Alignment" on

Increase the TOF by 6. Refer to
"Adjusting Print Alignment" on
page
18.
Stop printing. Advance and
remove two or three blank labels
and print again.
Clear the label jam.
