(5) Design the FPC based on the recommended dimensions to ensure
the required connector performance.
(6) There are exposed metal parts on the top of connector.
Please note that the metal parts do not touch other conductive parts
or chassis; otherwise, it may cause short out.
(7) Precautions for using Y5BW
The holding contacts cannot be used as conductors.
The holding contacts are located on both ends of the contacts, and the shape
of the soldered portions is the same as that of the other contacts. Therefore,
be careful to avoid any confusion.
2) Metal Mask Design
The size and thickness of this connector have been reduced in order to achieve a
narrow pitch and save space. Therefore, pay attention to the following precautions
for reflow soldering.
(1) In addition to the amount of applied solder, the reflow-soldering environment
and temperature profile affect the finish quality after reflow soldering. Make sure
to adjust the amount of solder applied after checking the finish quality in a test
run.
(2) Compared with natural air reflow soldering, N
oxidization of the melted solder surface. This significantly improves the solder
wettability. Therefore, make sure to apply an appropriate amount of solder.
(3) Do not apply an excessive amount of solder, otherwise, solder or flux may creep
near the contact section and reduce contact reliability or cause interference during
lever locking. Pay careful attention.
(4) Check the latest specifications for the metal mask pattern.
Refer to the following page for the current related dimensions.
Please check the specification sheet about current
recommended PC board pattern and metalmasking dimension.
