DoS
Denials of Service (DoS) attacks are aimed at devices and networks with a connection to the Internet.
Their goal is not to steal information, but to disable a device or network so users no longer have access
to network resources. It can flood your Internet connection with invalid packets and connection
requests, using so much bandwidth and so many resources that Internet access becomes unavailable.
The following example uses the parameters below to configure an example Multy M1 firewall rule to
enable ICMP and firewall.

RESPOND PING
LAN
Go to Settings > Firewall. Set the Respond Ping to LAN. Your Multy M1 will now only respond to ping
requests from the LAN.
Set the Firewall Setup to Enable. Your Multy M1 will protect your networks from DoS attacks.

7.7.2 Enable Access Control

An access control rule is a manually-defined rule that can drop or accept incoming or outgoing
packets from your network.
Block Access to a Specified IP Address
The example below shows you how to block your son's computer MAC address from accessing YouTube
without blocking other clients. The following example uses the parameters below to configure the
access control rule.
