Step 17: Install the reset gear

Remove the new reset gear (C) from the

ReChargX™ RX417XX toner refill kit packaging and

install it upon its plastic post (Figure 17).

At this time rotate the reset gear so the smooth part

of the gear is toward the left and the single plastic

"arm" is facing toward the top of the cartridge.

Step 18: Re-install the actuator gear

Reinstall the actuator gear (B), lining up the half-

moon shaped opening with the half-moon shaped

shaft (Figure 18).

Step 19: Install the reset spring

The reset spring can be difficult to re-apply because

of the tension and orientation it needs to be placed

upon the reset gear.

To allow for the least amount of resistance (from the

spring) we advise you rotate the reset gear so the

plastic "arm" is facing toward the right of the cartridge

and the other, additonal plastic tab is overlapping the

white actuator gear (Figure 19-1).

Place the toner cartridge spring (A) onto the post so

the smaller end of the spring can fit snuggly within

the small crevice as shown by the white arrow in

Figure 19-2.
