The emergency stop button can be used as operating element in an emer‐
gency stop circuit.
●
The emergency stop circuit is to be designed by the machine manufac‐
turer.
●
Only qualified persons may connect the emergency stop button and check
it afterwards.
●
The button is to be connected according to the connection scheme
7.3.2 "Connection Scheme of the Keypad" on page

The max. load current is 500 mA.
The emergency stop button is disclosed by the manufacturer as safety com‐
ponent according to machinery directive 2006/42/EC (annex V-10, emergency
stop devices). The compliance with the directive is proven by adherence to the
following European standards:

IEC 60204-1 (safety of machinery – electrical equipment of machines)
●
IEC 60947-5-1/5 (requirements for control circuit devices, requirements
for emergency stop devices)
●
ISO 13850 (safety of machinery - emergency stop - principles for design)
