7 Start-up and configuration

7.1 Initializing the actuator

The actuator automatically performs a zero
calibration as soon as the supply voltage is
applied.
The actuator stem extends (when the direc-
tion of action increasing/increasing has
been set) and the red and yellow LEDs on the
printed circuit board are illuminated (see the
'Operation' section).
As soon as the actuator stem has reached
the final position, the red LED is turned off.
The yellow LED remains illuminated and indi-
cates that the actuator is ready for use.

7.2 Configuring the actuator

The actuator is configured with the TROVIS-
VIEW software. In this case, the serial
interface on the actuator is used to connect
the actuator to the computer (see the 'Design
and principle of operation' section).
Î Refer to u EB 6661 and u KH 5724 for
more details on configuration and opera-
tion using TROVIS-VIEW.
Note
The Configuration Manual u KH 5724 can
be found in the Help menu of the TROVIS-
VIEW software. The manual contains a
detailed description of each function and
parameter.
1. Perform the application-specific configu-
ration in TROVIS-VIEW. See documenta-
tion on TROVIS-VIEW software
u EB 6661.
2. Transfer the configuration to the electric
actuator using the connecting cable or
memory pen.
