Warning!
When re-installing: In order to avoid possible water system faults (e.g.,
clogging or blocking of valves), grease, oil or other slip lubricants should
never be used when assembling and installing water system parts.
4.20

Heater (R1)/Fuse (1F8, 2F8)/NTC (R30-14) Removal

1. Remove the top cover; see Section 001-4.5.
2. Remove the side casing; see Section 001-4.6.
3. Remove the rubber cap from the top of the heater assembly.
4. Remove the T20 screw and washer securing the center of the heater assembly.
See Figure 001-45, Item 1.
5. Take out the heater assembly.
6. Disconnect the two water lines (spring clips) from the heater assembly.
7. Disconnect the two electrical connections (needlenose pliers) from the heater
assembly.
8. Remove the T20 screw securing the fuses and the green/yellow ground wire to the
heater housing. See Figure 001-45, Item 2.
9. Release the green/yellow ground wire and the bracket securing the two fuses from
the heater housing.
10. Remove the two fuses from the heater housing.
11. Release the horseshoe clip securing the two halves of the heater housing and pull
the heater housing apart.
12. Remove the plastic support from the base of the heater.
13. Unscrew the NTC from the base of the heater.
