Close the printer cover.
IMPORTANT
If the printer cover does not close completely, do not force it down. Remove the toner
cartridge and insert it again.
To avoid exposing the light-sensitive drum, never leave the printer cover open.
The machine will not operate if the printer cover is not closed completely.
If you see the message <CHECK PRINTER COVER>, and the Error lamp blinks red
when the machine is plugged in, open the printer cover again, and make sure the toner
cartridge is in a level position. (See "Turning the Power ON", on p. 1-15.) Then, close the
printer cover.

Document Output Tray
IMPORTANT
Make sure the knobs on each side of the tray fit into the holes on each side of the main
unit. The back of the tray sits on top of the extended lip of the main unit.
