Disassembly and Assembly

Before you disassemble or assemble theprinter, be sure to read andfollow the instructions
Before Starting,
in at the beginning
This section describes how to disassemble the printer. See the Appendix for an
exploded diagram of the printer. Use this diagram for simple disassembly
procedures not described here. To assemble the printer, follow the disassembly
instructions in this chapter in reverse. Any extra information you need to
assemble printer components is provided in notes labeled "Assembly Note."
Adjustments required before assembly are described in notes labeled "Adjustment
Required." Be sure to follow the instructions in these notes.

Replacing the Printhead

You can replace the printhead without disassembling the printer.

1. Remove the top cover.
2. Pry up the 2 hooks for the head cable cover and remove it from the carriage.
3. Disconnect the white FPC cable, 4-pin white harness connector, and 4-pin red
harness connector from the connector junction board on the carriage.
