Chapter 2: FER785-MM Diode Laser Source The FER785-MM Diode Laser Source is well suited for bench top fiber coupled experiments including Raman spectroscopy. The laser housing contains a 785 nm wavelength stabilized multi-mode diode laser with programmable power output up to 475 mW CW.
FER785-MM Diode Laser Source User Manual Issue 2 Mounting an FER785-MM Diode Laser Source Although not necessary for operation, the FER785-MM Diode Laser Source can be secured to an optical breadboard using the supplied adapter plate. To secure the FER785-MM Diode Laser Source, insert the screws provided into the plate and secure them to the bottom of the housing.
Chapter 3: Operation WARNING! Always observe proper laser safety when operating this source. This chapter provides information about the use and operation of the FER785-MM Diode Laser Source. Remove the Dust Cap/Beam Attenuator that is secured to the FC/PC fiber terminal. Figure 3-1.

Chapter 4: Remote Safety Interlock Connections The FER785-MM Diode Laser Source is equipped with a 3.5 mm mono jack Remote Safety Interlock connector located on the rear of the laser housing. FER785-MM Diode Laser Source User Manual Issue 2 All FER785-MM Diode Laser Source units are shipped with a 3.5 mm shorting pin pre-installed on the ILOK connector. • If the Remote Interlock feature will not be utilized, this shorting pin should remain in place, and the FER785-MM Diode Laser Source will operate normally.

You must deliver the entire product to the Teledyne Princeton Instruments factory or, at our option, to a factory-authorized service center.
