E. Air Shutter Setting
Air shutter settings should be adjusted by a qualified
service technician at the time of installation. The air
shutter is set at the factory for minimum vertical vent run.
Adjust air shutter for longer vertical runs.
By sliding the air shutter to the right, you will be opening
the air shutter. To adjust loosen the wing nut. Care should
be taken when adjusting the air shutter so as not to cause
the appliance to soot. If sooting occurs the air shutter will
need to be opened by sliding the air shutter to the right.
When finished, tighten the wing nut. See Figure 9.1.
NOTICE: If sooting occurs, provide more air by opening
the air shutter.
