INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
S Primary sheave spring 1
Cracks/damage ! Replace.
2. Measure:
S Primary sheave spring free length a
Out of specification ! Replace.
Primary sheave spring free length:
88.4 mm (3.1 in) (500)
89.4 mm (3.52 in) (600, 700)
3. Inspect:
S Weight 1
S Roller 2
S Bushing 3
S Slider 4
S Rivet 5
S Collar
Wear/scratches/damage ! Replace.
Slider inside clearance
Min. 0.10 mm (0.0039 in)
Max. 0.45 mm (0.0177 in)
Rivet replacement steps:
S Remove old rivet with the appropriate drill.
S Insert the rivet 1 from the ID mark 2 side.
S Press or peen the rivet head so that the diame-
ter a of rivet head measures to 8.2 mm
(0.32 in) or larger.
4. Measure:
S Bushing inside diameter
Out of specification ! Replace as a set.
Bushing inside diameter
Roller
8.0 mm
New
(0.31 in)
8.2 mm
Wear limit
(0.32 in)
NOTE:
When replace the weight and roller bushings,
use the YXR clutch bushing jig kit (YS-39752).
