COOLING SYSTEM
3. Adjust:
S Drive belt deflection
Adjustment steps:
S Remove the recoil starter 1 .
S Use a primary sheave holder (90890–01701,
YS–01880) to hold the primary sheave.
S Remove the starter pulley 2 .
S Remove the screws 3 of the starter pulley.
S Adjust the drive belt deflection by adding or
removing a shim 4 .

4. Install:
S Install the starter pulley and drive belt.
S Recheck the drive belt deflection. If out of
specification, readjust the drive belt deflec-
tion.
S Install the recoil starter.
5. Tighten:
Starter pulley bolt:
23 Nm (2.3 mSkg, 17 ftSlb)
Starter pulley screw:
7 Nm (0.7 mSkg, 5.1 ftSlb)
Recoil starter bolt:
10 Nm (1.0 mSkg, 7.2 ftSlb)
