Wipe the pane until the glass is clean. Do not clean the
glass door while the stove is working, and do not use
abrasive sponges. Do not wet the door's gasket, as this
will accelerate its wear.
1225 Cleaning of chimney flues
The chimney flue should be cleaned at least twice a year
– at the beginning and at half of the winter season – and
as needed. In the case of horizontal ducts, they should
be checked for ash and soot deposits, which must be
removed before they clog the chimney flue.
Insufficient cleaning or neglect of cleaning causes
problems with the stove's operation, such as:
• improper combustion,
• blackening of the glass pane,
• pollution of the brazier with ash and deposits from
pellet,
• deposition of ash and soot on the exchanger, which
leads to poor performance.
1226 Cleaning the housing
Clean the stove's housing with a dry, non-abrasive cloth.
Do not use detergents, and do not perform cleaning when
the stove is hot
1227 Annual stove maintenance
Should be performed at least once a year or whenever the
stove signals that it is necessary.
During maintenance, the technician should:
perform thorough and complete cleaning of the smoke
duct
• check the condition and tightness of all gaskets.
• check the condition and cleanliness of all interior
elements
• check the tightness and cleanliness of the connector
for leading off flue gas
• remove all pellet residue in the container
• check that the stove is working properly.
• reset potential warnings or alarms (thermostats for
manual reset are found on the rear of the stove, near
the power cable socket).
1228 Cleaning of the stove's chimney flue
Cleaning activities may be performed by the user, under
the condition that they have read and understood all of
the instructions given in this manual.
It is recommended for cleaning to be performed when the
stove is shut down and cold.
All deposits formed in the combustion chamber should be
removed after every 500 kg of pellet burned.
