17.4. SEPARATING THE CRANKCASE
TOOLS
A universal puller (504 90 90-02) and a special tool
(grip plate) from Husqvarna (544 06 00-02) are
needed to spilt the crankcase.
STARTING POSITION
Dismantle the basic modules from the crankcase.
Note that the crankshaft's stuffing boxes are to be
dismantled.
SEPARATE THE CRANKCASE
1. Remove the ten screws that hold together the
crankcase halves.
Flywheel side
2. Install grab plate 544 06 00-02 in the screw
holes on the flywheel side.
3. Press out the crankshaft with a puller.
