Using the playback/
recording timer
You can program up to 3 playback/recording timer
settings. Set the clock beforehand. (Refer to page
15.)

Press [CLOCK/TIMER] repeatedly
to select "TIMER-1 (

Set the starting time and ending
time with  or  and [ENTER/
SET].

Press  or  to select the desired
source, and then press [ENTER/
SET].
• If you have selected "TUNER FM" or "TUNER
AM" in this step, press ,  or the number
buttons to select the preset number of the
radio station whose broadcast you want to lis-
ten to, and then press [ENTER/SET].
• Having selected "DVD/CD" or "USB1" or
"USB2", you can select the title, group,
chapter, track or file in the same procedure.
However, you cannot select the title, group,
chapter, track or file number exceeding 150.
• When a DVD VIDEO is selected as the
source, playback may not start with this
function.
• Selecting "USB2 REC" enables timer
recording. In this case, select "TUNER FM",
"TUNER AM" or "AUDIO IN" as the source
in the same procedure. At this time, if you
select "TUNER FM" or "TUNER AM", select
the preset number in the same procedure as
well.

NOTE
• While setting the playback/recording timer, you
can return to the previous step by pressing
[CANCEL] or you can stop the setting by press-
ing [CLOCK/TIMER].
• When the recording timer stars working, the " "
and "REC" indicators start flashing.
• When the power cable of the main unit is discon-
nected from the AC outlet or the power is inter-
rupted, the clock setting is lost. At this time, set
the clock and then the playback/recording timer
again.
• When you use the playback/recording timer,
deactivate the auto standby function, otherwise
the power may not turn off when the selected
ending time elapses. The auto standby function
overrides the playback/recording timer. (Refer to
page 16.)
