Selecting the recording speed
■When a CD-DA is loaded on the disc tray
and selected as the source

Press [TUNER/PLAY/REC MODE]
repeatedly while holding down
[SHIFT] to select "REC SPD" in the
display window.

Press  or  repeatedly.
• Each time you press  or , the display
toggles between "NORMAL" and "HIGH".
- "NORMAL": For normal speed recording.
You can listen to the sound during record-
ing.
- "HIGH": For high speed recording. The
recoding speed is up to 4 times faster than
normal speed recording, depending on the
selected file format and transfer rate.
NOTE
• If you have selected "HQ REC" for the transfer
rate, selecting "HIGH" has no effect. When you
record sound, the actual recording speed is the
same as that of normal playback and "X1 ONLY"
appears in the display window.
Setting the track marks
■When a radio broadcast or device con-
nected to the [AUDIO IN] terminal is
selected as the source

Press [TUNER/PLAY/REC MODE]
repeatedly while holding down
[SHIFT] to select "MARKING" in
the display window.

Press  or  repeatedly.
• Each time you press  or , the display
changes as follows.
- "M.MARK": For manual marking. You can
create track marks by pressing [ENTER/
SET] during recording.
- "T.MARK": For time interval marking. Track
marks are recorded every 5 minutes.
- "A.MARK": For automatic marking. Track
marks are recorded when a 3 second inter-
val is detected. (You can also create track
marks by pressing [ENTER/SET] during
recording.)
Recording tracks from a CD
to a USB device

Place a CD on the disc tray and
connect a USB device to the
[USB2 AUDIO REC/PLAY] terminal.
• Refer to pages 20 and 21.
• For a VCD or SVCD, cancel the PBC func-
tion referring to page 26.

Press [DVD/CD

to stop playback.

Press 4 or ¢ repeatedly to
select the first track you want to
record.
• The tracks from the selected track to the last
track are recorded.

Press [USB REC] on the main unit.
