3.9. Agitating a White Cartridge

Do not shake the cartridge too fast or too hard.
Do not hit or drop it when agitating. It may cause injury, cartridge damage, or ink leakage.
Do not excessively agitate/shake. It may cause ink leakage.
Agitate/Swing as instructed. Other methods may cause ink leakage.
The printer will prompt you every 12 hours.
After the first displayed, it will notify you by the buzzer every hour (selectable ON/OFF).
There are two types of display formats (Count Manually / Count Automatically) and you can select which
one to use.
When the message appears, pull out all white cartridges and agitate/shake it as follows.
Hold the cartridge horizontally as shown in Fig. 1.
Shake the cartridge in the direction of the left and right rotation as shown in Fig. 1.
• Make the ink cartridge reciprocate for 50 seconds in the direction of the rotation of the arrow
in Figure 1 in the left and right directions.
• Shake speed is the speed of two reciprocations per second.
IMPORTANT! Failure to shake the cartridges as instructed can lead to duller looking prints in
addition to head clogging when the ink level of the cartridge is low.
