Arming and Disarming the Alarm System
with Remote Entry
Your Remote Entry System will automatically
arm the factory installed Anti-Theft System when
the doors are locked, and automatically disarm it
when the doors are unlocked. The remote will
also reset the anti-theft alarm (when the driver's
door is unlocked or the PANIC button is pressed
on a programmed remote entry transmitter) if it
was triggered.
The remote entry system may not arm and
disarm non-factory installed anti-theft systems.
Replacing the batteries
The remote entry transmitter is powered by two
coin type three-volt lithium 2016
batteries (included) that should last for several
years of normal use. If you notice a significant
decrease in operating range, the batteries should
be replaced. Replacement batteries can be
purchased at most pharmacies, watch stores or
at your Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer.
