9.3 Assembling the motor

Place the motor on its attachments. Plug in the
connectors.
NOTE! Make sure no cables are pinched.
The motor control cable (C) from the control unit
should lie in the crankcase half groove above the
motor.
The motor control cable (D) from the motor should
be located on top of the motor so that it does not
vibrate loose and get stuck in the clutch/drive shaft.
See figure 1.
Motor with temperature sensor and Gen. 2
control unit
Note! If you have a chain saw with a motor that has
the extra wiring for the temperature sensor, insert
the loose connector in the holder. No connection is
needed. See figure 2.
Motor without temperature sensor and Gen. 1
control unit
No connection is needed. See figure 3.

Rotate the motor shaft back and forth until it aligns
with the drive shaft.

Attach the motor with the screws (4x).
Tightening torque 3.5 Nm.

Assemble the chain saw.
