call, whether internal or external. Thus there are 8 ringer patterns (for external calls)
corresponding to 8 Classic ringer patterns similarly there are 8 ringer patterns (for external
calls) corresponding to each of 8 Alternate ringer patterns.
Note:
An incoming call is considered as internal when it originates from within the same
Communication Manager. An incoming call is considered as external when a call originating
from one Communication Manager passes through a trunk and then arrives at another
deskphone that is registered on another Communication Manager.
Note:
This feature is not applicable to the 9670 deskphones.

Changing the ringer pattern

Procedure
1. Press Avaya Menu.
2. Select Options and Settings.
3. Press Select or OK.
4. Select Screen and Sounds option.
5. Press Select or OK.
6. Scroll to Personalized Ringing.
7. Press OK or Change.
8. Use the Right or Left arrow key to select the type of ringer pattern from Classic or
9. Scroll to the specific ringer pattern that you want to set. Press Play if you want to
