COMPLETE EXCALIBUR v2.0 CAPABILITIES
Excalibur version 2.0 is a graphical security system manager
that provides complete control of AD Matrix Switching
Systems as well as other CCTV peripheral RS-232 devices
such as VCRs, quads, access control systems, etc. Excalibur
SE is a reduced function software package provided with
certain AD matrix switching systems. Excalibur SE enables
basic control of cameras for a single matrix system only, and
does not contain all the features and control capabilities of
Excalibur version 2.0. These differences are listed in the table
on the following page (page A-2).
The additional features of Excalibur v2.0 are identified below.

Multiple Matrix Systems Control
• Control of up to 9 American Dynamics Matrix Switching
Systems from a single PC workstation.
• Alternately, provides control of various CCTV peripheral
devices via RS-232 communications.
Second Switcher ("Satellite") Control
• View and control remote site matrix cameras.
• Performs "double switch" to route video from remote
matrix cameras to local matrix monitors with a single touch
of an icon.
• Compatible with standard AD matrix systems (AD1650B,
AD2050, AD2052, and AD2150).
CCTV Peripheral Device Control
• Software modules/drivers available for RS-232 control of
quads, VCRs, intercom systems, access control systems,
etc., all from the same PC workstation.
• Enables complete CCTV system integration and control.
Automatic Alarm Call-up
• Automatic map/floor plan and video call-up upon alarm
contact activation.
• Optional user-defined guard instructions displayed upon
alarm condition with optional prompt for guard response.
• Standard interface to AD2096 AIU or Access Control
Systems/Alarm Panels using AD RS-232 commands.
Event/Alarm Logging and Reports
• Logs system start-up/exit, operator log-on/off, user selected
events, alarm conditions, guard response to alarms, and
door/gate activation.
• Reports allow search by date/time, operator, or specific
alarm points and events.
Live On-Screen Video with Capture to Disk
• Real-time on-screen video display with the capability to
select window or full screen display, freeze video, and save
or load snapshots to the hard drive.
• User selectable video file compression formats.
• Requires Windows compatible video capture card.
Hi-Resolution "Tiled Window" Mode
• Optional "Tiled Window" mode feature enables partitioned
viewing of maps, system status display, camera control
dialog box, and on-screen video window simultaneously
with no overlap for unobstructed viewing and control.
• Requires 1024x768 high resolution VGA monitor.
Custom Button and Alarm Sounds
• Unique sounds may be assigned to control buttons and to
alarm and door class icons.
• Different sounds may be selected for different alarm points.
• Requires Windows compatible sound card.
Additional Control Icons
• Complete library of 21 icons allows setup and control of
alarm activated icons, door/gate control icons, light control
icons etc., in addition to the basic camera and PTZ control
icons and video icons supplied with Excalibur SE. See
Appendix page A-3 for a view of all icons.
Miscellaneous
• Additional operator passwords (1024 passwords)
• Additional maps and map layers (7200 max)
• Enabled Control, Shunt, and Alarms buttons
