8. POTENTIAL ERRORS

Outlined below is a list of the possible errors a user might experience. Please note that this list
may not include all errors users experience in the field but is rather just a general guideline.
If any of the below errors, or any errors that are not documented, persist, please contact our
support team immediately.

8.1. Settlement required error

If there is an error, a red exclamation mark (!) is displayed on the top left-hand side of the
screen. Tapping on it will display more details about the error, which can be a 'settlement
required' error, a 'parameter required' error or a 'hot cards file outdated' error.
If a 'settlement required error' is displayed, this means that a settlement has failed for one
reason or another. A manual banking must be done to bank all transactions:
STEP 1
Select 'menu'
STEP 2
Select 'merchant'
STEP 3
Select 'settlement'
The POS device will settle all transactions.

8.2. Parameters required error

If a 'parameters required error' is displayed, the POS device requires parameters from the host,
which needs to be downloaded manually:
STEP 1
Select 'menu'
STEP 2
Select 'merchant'
STEP 3
Select 'parameters'
STEP 4
Select 'partial'
The POS device will then download parameters from the host.
When the 'parameters' is downloaded, it will display a success or failed message. To print these
details, choose 'print a POS device setup' report.
