It's doubtful that this will happen (one pot effecting all Programs), however, you can program the
ribbon to effect all Program's Filters and get the same effect. You'll notice that when in Mix mode,
there is indeed a flashing LED that shows which Mix channel is active (you have to select one for it
to begin). The name of the Program will show up in the display but as far as keeping track of what's
where, it's down to always using Mix channels for similar things (bass:1, Kick:2, etc.) for
convenience. We can fit ten Program names in the display at once (per the Program Directory
function) but that doesn't fill the bill when using sixteen channels. A display function that would show
eight names at once and Shift between 1-8 and 9-16 is not planned at this time.

8.11 preventing voice stealing:

The only way to prevent a patch from having voices stolen by other patches (if VSTEAL is
enabled in the global menu) is to set a patch as monophonic.

8.12 a warning on monophonic voice allocations:

(specifically multitimbral mix)

I don't think this is a bug. Without having verified your scenario exactly, I assume this is also about
sounds in MONO mode, voice allocation, etc.
The "Multitimbral Mix" in the present sound set is a trap! It has a monophonic sound assigned to
each mix channel, with a different voice preselected (KBD MODE page) - so far so good - but even
an unused mix channel is now using up a voice, so it will dramatically limit polyphony.
I think there's an updated factory sound set which has this "Multitimbral Mix" modified to use a
polyphonic sound on each track, so there is no stealing or polyphony limit.
Mike, will this set be released on the Andromeda website any time soon? Or can we post it here on
the list?
If you want to fix this problem yourself, you should all edit this "Multitimbral Mix" to use any standard
polyphonic program (preset bank 2) on all channels and then re-save it.
When you're using monophonic programs in a MIX, make sure you give each ist own voice
assignment (KBD MODE page). Even though this parameter is not a mix channel parameter, it IS
saved for each mix channel separately. The same is true for output assignment and effects send
levels.

8.13 using the a6 as a master controller:

According to the manual, the A6 can act as a midi controller for channels it is not playing, by
setting the kbd enable to off (in mix mode).
Turning the kbd enable to OFF *disables* keyboard control of the mix (not MIDI) channel in
question, meaning it can *only* be played by an external MIDI device, which is (I think) the opposite
of what you want. Setting up the A6 to act as a MIDI controller (i.e. which MIDI channels it
TRANSMITS on) would be done under the global section, not the mix section.
If you want certain parts of the A6 keyboard to act solely as a MIDI controller, and not play any
internal sounds, you'll need to set all active mix channels to NOT use the part of the keyboard you
want to use for MIDI output. For instance, you could set mix channel 1 as a bass sound with a key
range from, say C1 to B3, and mix channel 2 as a lead sound with a key range from C6 to the top of
the keyboard. That way, notes C3 to B6 on the Andromeda keyboard will act solely as a MIDI
controller (assuming you have the output MIDI channel set correctly in the global section).
