sync with my midi bpm? Aren't I essentially changing the "bpm" of the lfo by turning the rate knob,
thus forcing them out of sync?
You can set each LFO to local, clock or midi.Local will be indepandant, clock can be set to A6's
local BPM or to midi time divisions. Midi is as per midi :)
If you want to set the LFO to a different speed you can set it to local and tweak it, or if its set to clock
set a different time division. Ditto for midi. Lock under the sync menu for each LFO.
Also if its synced to clock, be sure to set up the options wether each LFO will retrigger upon each
keydown or freerun.
4.13 lfo sync: the tixprd parameter (1/2 note sync, ¼ note sync, etc.)
TIXPRD is a one of the parameters in the SYNC menu. Normally, you hit soft button 3 to
enter the LFO sync menu, and you hit LOCAL, CLOCK, AND MIDI to sync to either the A6
master clock (CLOCK) or the MIDI clock (MIDI). TIXPRD allows you to adjust the sync
below the standard 24-ticks-per-beat.
This means that you can adjust your LFO speed to ½ MIDI note values, ¼ MIDI note values,
etc. easy. Simply divide 24 ticks up. For instance, setting TIXPRD to 12 will sync to double
speed (to every MIDI ½ note). Setting TIXPRD to 48 will sync the clock to half speed (every
second MIDI note).

4.14 randomness and the lfo:

From http://www.sequencer.de/efra.html
If in doubt about random sound generaion:
There is one global random number generated every cycle (2ms). The LFOs are run on a
different timebase from the random number generator. Each LFO grabs the current global
random number and uses that as it's noise output. So while it's possible that more than one
LFO will use the same number, in practice the random number changes often enough that
each LFO will have a unique output.

4.15 global lfos vs. per voice:

From Mike Peake:
The A6's LFOs can be configured as global or per voice. In the former case, an LFO speed on an
LED is appropriate. In the latter, it is possible to configure an LFO per voice where the keyboard
note number modulates the LFO speed, so the higher up the keyboard the faster the LFO
frequency, so having an LED for LFO speed is pointless.
LFO per voice is a powerful feature - this is where the serious power of the A6 lies, as this feature
was also present in the Memorymoog and the P5 and is responsible for some of the great sounds of
these vintage synths. "MeltsInYourMouth" is a Memorymoog patch that I duplicated that uses the
LFO modded by key number feature.
