5.17 Replacing the sensors

5.17.1 Lift sensor and Front loop sensor
The front loop sensor and lift sensor are mounted
on the front sensor card. The sensors cannot be
replaced separately. The entire front sensor card
must be replaced as a unit.
1.
Disassemble the body. See "5.2.1
Disassembling the body" on page 54.
2.
Remove the display cover. See "5.2.2
Disassembling the display cover" on
page 54.
3.
Disassemble the chassis. See "5.2.3
Disassembling the chassis" on page 54.
4.
Disconnect the cable from the front sensor
card. Note! Always pull the connector and
NOT the cable.
5.
Remove the screws (Torx 20) for the front
sensor card.
6.
Fit a new front sensor card.
7.
Tighten the screws (Torx 20) for the front
sensor card. NOTE! Do not tighten the
screws too tightly. It can damage the circuit
board. Do not use an electric screwdriver.
8.
Connect the cable to the front sensor card.
9.
Fit the chassis. See "5.2.4 Assembling
the chassis, display cover and body" on
page 55.
10. Fit the display cover. See "5.2.4 Assembling
the chassis, display cover and body" on
page 55.
11. Assemble the body. See "5.2.4 Assembling
the chassis, display cover and body" on
page 55.
5. REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS

5.17.2 Collision sensor, tilt sensor and rear
loop sensor
The rear loop sensor, collision sensor and tilt sensor
are parts of the main circuit board. The sensors cannot
be replaced separately. The entire main circuit board
must be replaced as a unit.

5.18 Replacing the blade motor

1.
Put the main switch in position 0.
2.
Disassemble the body. See "5.2.1
Disassembling the body" on page 54.
3.
Remove the display cover. See "5.2.2
Disassembling the display cover" on
page 54.
4.
Turn the chassis upside down.
5.
308 and R70Li only: Dismantle the skid plate
(four Torx 20 screws) and the bearing (one
socket head 4 screw).
6.
Unscrew the three screws (Torx 20) that attach
the blade disc in the hub. Remove the blade
disc.
7.
Unscrew the three screws (Torx 20) that attach
the foot guard. Remove the foot guard.
8.
Undo the screws (Allen 2.5 mm) that lock the
hub on the blade motor shaft. Remove the hub.
9.
Disassemble the chassis. See "5.2.3
Disassembling the chassis" on page 54.
10. Disconnect the cable for the blade motor from
the main circuit board. The connector on the
main circuit board is marked Blade.
11. Remove the spring that rests against the
screws that adjust the cutting height.
12. Simultaneously lift up the blade motor housing
and the screws that adjust the cutting height.
Lift out the two guide rails that are located
between the blade motor housing and the
chassis' lower part. Note the position of the
guide rails so that they can be reassembled
correctly later.
13. Unscrew the three screws (Torx 10) that
attach the blade motor in the blade motor box.
Remove the blade motor.
14. Fit a new blade motor in the blade motor
housing.
15. Fit the guide rails in the lower part of the
chassis. NOTE! Check that they are assembled
correctly. See illustration below. If incorrectly
mounted the height adjustment function will be
defective.
