The charging station must not be positioned
in a corner of the boundary loop.
The battery is spared if charged in the lowest
possible ambient temperature. Consequently,
it is beneficial if the charging station can be
placed where it is shaded, especially during
the warmest parts of the day.
The transformer must be placed where it is
well ventilated and is not exposed to direct
sunlight. Under no circumstances may it be
enclosed in any form of small box or plastic
bag. The transformer should be placed
under a roof, preferably indoors.
The transformer must be mounted on a
vertical surface, such as a wall or a fence.
Screw the transformer in place using the two
eyelet connectors. No screws are supplied.
Select screws suitable for the material in
question.
Do not, under no circumstances, mount the
transformer at a height where there is a risk

from the ground). It is not permitted to place
the transformer on the ground.

3.2 Boundary wire

To start an Automower
station and boundary wire to be installed. It is not
possible to test drive a mower until the installation is
complete. The Automower
signal message when an attempt is made to start
before the installation is complete.
It is possible to test the mower before the installation
is completed by doing one of the following;
Connect a short, temporary loop in a small
area around the mower.
Temporarily deactivate the mower's loop
detection (see "Loop signal (5-4-1)" on
page 26.
3.2.1 Laying the boundary wire
Stapling
It is easier to readjust a stapled boundary wire, as it
does not lie so deep. If you do not know where the
wire is laid, you can easily dig it up using for instance
a screwdriver. Care must be taken though so as not
to damage the wire.
Digging/Cutting
A buried boundary wire is more protected than a
stapled wire, which may be an advantage if you for
instance need to dethatch or aerate the lawn.
When burying, make a channel using a spade or an
edge cutter, approximately 1-20 cm deep, around the
entire garden. Place the wire in the channel and then
press it closed with your feet.
You can also cut a channel using for instance an
edge cutting machine.
Obstacles
3018-094
Obstacles are demarcated by routing the boundary
wire from the outer edge of the working area in
towards the object, around it and then back along
the same path under the same staples. The distance
between the wires on the return route must be
as small as possible. Best results are obtained if
the wires are in contact with each other the entire
distance from the boundary wire to the obstacle.
