Motors (5-3-1)
This part-menu contains the following test functions:
Wheel motors (5-3-1)
The battery voltage should be at least 18V when
testing the wheel motors.
Place the cursor on Wheel motors and press OK to
start the test. Grip the body in the middle of the lower
edge of the front of the body. Lift so that the drive
wheels are off the ground. The following is shown on
the display during the test:
Power: xx %
Speed L: xx cm/s
Speed R: xx cm/s
Voltage: xx.x V
Use Arrow up and Arrow down to respectively
increase and decrease the wheel force.
Increase the power to 80% and block each
drive wheel in at least ten different positions
along the wheel revolution. Check that the
motor starts again when the blocking is
released.
Increase the power to 100% and check
that the speed in each wheel is at least
50 cm/second.
Check that the motors' gearboxes are not
slipping by blocking each wheel. When
blocking, the speed should be 0 cm/second.
Also listen for abnormal sounds from the
gearbox.

NOTE
! If you have to help the wheel to
go round by hand in order to get the wheel
motor started and if the wheel motor stops as
soon as the wheel is blocked, the fault lies in
the main circuit board and not in the wheel
motor.
NOTE!
If a motor fails to start and is very
difficult to rotate by hand, the fault may lie in
the main circuit board or the wheel motor.
Inspect the wiring and connectors on the
wheel motors and on the mower's main
circuit board.
Press Arrow back to exit the test.
Blade motor (5-3-1)
The battery voltage should be at least 18V when
testing the blade motor. The blade motor can only
start when the body is mounted (or the magnet for
the lift sensor is manually held in place).
Place the cursor on Blade motor and press OK to
start the test.
WARNING
The blade disc rotates during
the test of the blade motor. Keep
your hands and feet at a safe
distance.
The following values are shown on the display:
Current: An indication value of how much
power is needed to sustain 2,900 rpm. When
operating the blade motor with blade disc
and blades fitted but without cutting grass,
the normal value is 380 mA +/- 100 mA.
Speed: The speed is normally 2,900 rpm.
Voltage: The battery voltage should be at
least 18V in order to evaluate the function of
the blade motor.
Press Arrow back to exit the test.
