When a noise, such as a person spea-
king, is picked up by the microphone,
recording will begin automatically.
If a silence lasts for 3 seconds or more,
the recording will be paused automat-
ically. However, the unit will not pause
for about the first 10 seconds after re-
cording has started.
To interrupt a synchro recording:
Press the 38 button whilst recording.
The Mic synchro recording mode will
be cancelled, and the unit will enter the
recording stand-by mode.
To resume synchro recording, press
the
ENTER/SYNC/F.PLAY
again.
To stop recording:
Press the
/ OFF button.
Notes:
If you want to use a microphone, be sure it is a plug-in power type microphone that
can be powered by the main unit.
Insert the plug firmly. If you don't, the recording will not be made properly.
Use a microphone with a 3.5 mm (1/8") diameter stereo mini plug.
When a recording is made using a stereo microphone (available separately), an
analogue recording will be made.
Whilst making a mic recording, do not connect anything to the LINE IN socket on the
main unit.
The microphone is only sold in certain areas. For more details, please ask your dealer.
Recording from the microphone

You can start recording manually (any
time you like).

Put the unit in the recording stand-by
mode. (Perform steps 1 - 4 in the "Mic
synchro recording" section.)

Press the 38 button.
Recording will start.
To interrupt a recording:
Press the 38 button whilst recording.

The unit will enter the recording stand-
by mode.
To resume recording, press the 38
button again.
The track number will be increased by
one each time you interrupt a recor-
ding.
To stop recording:
Press the

/ OFF button.
