CPU population requirements
– CPU1 and CPU2 must be populated first as minimum CPU population rule.
– All CPUs must be of the same type.
– All CPUs MUST operate at the same Intel® Ultra Path Interconnect
frequency and core frequency.
– Mixing CPUs with different core count is not supportedsupported, e.g.
mixing 8-core and 6-core.
– Mixing CPUs with different shared cache size is not supported, e.g. mixing
20 Mbyte and 15 Mbyte.
– Mixing CPUs with different power class is not supported, e.g. mixing 135-
watt and 95-watt.
– Mixing CPUs of different stepping is not supported.
