Problem
The data and time message does
not appear in the display when
you turn the unit ON.
You cannot make copies.
If none of these suggestions correct the problem, turn the power OFF. Wait for a few seconds and turn it
ON again. Then try the procedure again.
Sometimes the problem may be caused by the other party's fax. If you are sure your unit is working
properly, have the other party check their unit.
If you still cannot solve the problem, contact your local dealer or service representative.

Cause
There is power to the unit
You loaded the document
face up.
The handset is off the hook.
You have a machine error.
Solution
Check that the power plug is
plugged into the AC outlet and
the power switch is ON.
Make sure the wall outlet is
"live" and not switched off by
a wall switch or a blown fuse.
Load the document face down,
and retry copying.
Replace the handset properly.
Check the display for an error
message.
