6. Hit the bevel gear carefully against a wooden block.
The pinion gear with the 2 bearings (B) will come
loose.
7. Remove the spacer ring (C), the washers (D) and
the pinion gear (E).
8. Remove the plastic seal (F).
9. Do a visual inspection on the pinion gear and the
bearings. Replace damaged parts.

6.17 Gearbox

6.17.1 To remove and install the gearbox
1. Remove the 2 screws and the cover.
2. Remove the bolt and the washers.
3. Pull the bevel gear and the gearbox apart.

4. Push the locking pin with a screwdriver to release
the pinion gear.
5. Install in the opposite sequence.
6.17.2 To disassemble and assemble the gearbox
1. Remove the 6 screws.
2. Remove the cover, the gasket and the thrust plate.
