9. Remove the 4 screws (C) and carefully remove the
cylinder head (D) and the cylinder head gasket (E)
from the crankcase (F).

10. Remove the 2 snap rings on the sides of the piston.

11. Use the removal tool for the piston pin and remove
the piston. Refer to
C

12. Do a check of the cylinder and piston for wear and

damage. Replace the parts if it is necessary.
13. Assemble in the opposite sequence. Lubricate the
piston, piston pin and inner surface of the cylinder
with 2-stroke oil.

CAUTION: Make sure that the mark on the
piston points at the muffler side of the
engine when you assemble the piston.
CAUTION: Make sure that the mark on the
cylinder head gasket points at the flywheel
side of the engine when you assemble the
cylinder.
CAUTION: Make sure that the openings in
the snap rings point down.
