IPv6 can be enabled or disabled independently of IPv4.
Note:
If you disable both IPv4 and IPv6, you will lose your connection to the printer. For
information on restoring the default TCP/IP settings, see
page 38.
To enable or disable IPv6, use one of the following options:
The printer control panel
CentreWare IS
Enabling IPv6 Using the Control Panel
On the printer control panel, select Printer Setup and then press the OK button.

Select Connection Setup > OK.
Select Network Setup > OK.

Select TCP/IPv6 Setup > OK.

At IPv6, press OK to switch between On and Off.
Enabling IPv6 Using CentreWare IS

Launch your computer's Web browser.

Type your printer's IP address in the browser's Address field.
At the CentreWare IS page, click Properties.

In the navigation pane on the left, select the Protocols folder, then click TCP/IP.
Click the TCP/IP (v6) button.

Select the TCP/IP v6 Enabled check box to enable TCP/IP v6.

At the bottom of the page, click the Save Changes button.
