Dismantling and
assembling the engine
The figures in this chapter refer to RB 150. The
corresponding locations apply also for RBH 180.

Changing the sparking plug

CAUTION
The engine must cool down before
removing the sparking plug. There is
otherwise a risk of damaging the threads.
The sparking plug should be inspected at regular
intervals with respect to carbon deposits and spark
gap. Use a feeler gauge to measure the gap and set
it to 0.7 mm. (See the Engine Manual.)

Changing the engine

Disconnect electric cables that are connected to
the engine
1. Disconnect the cable to the battery negative
terminal.
2. Disconnect cables to the headlights.
3. Disconnect the earth terminal (1) of the
headlights, and the guard plate (2).
4. Disconnect the cables (4) to the solenoid valve
of the carburettor.
5. Disconnect the earthing terminal (3).
6. Disconnect cable (6) to the starter motor.
7. Disconnect the cables (7) to the rectifier.
8. Disconnect the earthing terminal (5).
