General instructions
Workshops where the riding mowers are repaired
are to be equipped with safety equipment in
compliance with local regulations.
No person that is not conversant with the contents
of this Workshop Manual is to be allowed to repair
the riding mower.
The boxes illustrated below are included in relevant
parts of this Workshop Manual. The warning boxes
appear at the beginning of the procedures
concerned.

WARNING
Warning box for hazardous items
that can result in personal injury.
CAUTION
This box warns for items that can result in
damage to the riding mower or peripheral
equipment.
This riding mower is type approved with respect to
safety in accordance with current legislation
concerning motorized mowers. The attachment of
other equipment or the use of accessories or spares
that are not approved by Huskvarna can lead to
infringement of the safety requirements, and liability
for the person responsible.

SAFETY RULES

Special instructions
Fuel
The fuel that is used for the riding mower has the
following hazardous characteristics:
1. The fuel and its fumes are toxic.
2. Can cause irritation to the eyes and skin.
3. Can cause breathing difficulties.
4. The fuel is a fire hazard.
Remember the danger of fire
The engine can produce sparks that are a fire
hazard.
Ensure that the cutting blades do not make contact
with each other or other metal objects such as the
cover of the cutting unit. This could otherwise cause
sparks and fire.
Test running
The following restrictions apply when test driving the
riding mower.
1. No persons or animals are to be allowed near
the mower when driving it.
2. Wear ear protectors when test driving.
Brakes
Check for proper functioning of the brakes before
test driving. Adjust the brakes if the braking ability is
weak.
Cutting unit
The following inspection of the cutting unit is to be
completed before any test running of the cutting
unit.
1. Ensure that the shear pins of the cutting blades
are intact.
2. Ensure that cutting blades are at right angles to
each another.
3. Ensure that the cutting blades are properly
balanced. (See Operating instructions)
4. Ensure that the cutting blades are securely
fitted.
Silencer
Danger of burns. The silencer may not be touched
until it has cooled down after test running.
Compressed air
A jet of air may not be directed towards the body
when using compressed air. Air may otherwise enter
the blood stream which could be fatal.
