O CHECK INTERNAL CONNECTIONS
When you handle electronic components, follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions
(see

10).
1 Remove the imagePASS from the copier (see

3 Verify that the following are present, undamaged, and securely in-place.
• Copier interface board
• CPU
• CPU cooling assembly
• DIMMs
• Enclosed fan
• Hard disk drive
• Motherboard
• Motherboard battery
• Power supply
• Power switch
• Security chip
• Service board
4 Check all internal cable, motherboard, and power connections (see pages 20-22).
5 If one or more imagePASS components are not receiving power, check the copier and its
internal copier interface to the imagePASS.
