Troubleshooting Chart

PROBLEM
Reactor E-10 does not operate.
Motor does not operate.
Fan not working.
Pump output low.

CAUSE
No power.
Power turned on with function knob
set to a run position.
Loose connection on control board.
Worn brushes.
Broken or misaligned brush springs.
Brushes or springs binding in brush
holder.
Shorted armature.
Check motor commutator for burn
spots, black pitting, or other damage.
Failed control board.
Loose fan cable.
Defective fan.
Plugged fluid inlet strainer.
Plugged disposable mixer.
Leaking or plugged piston valve or
intake valve in displacement pump.
SOLUTION
Plug in power cord.
Cycle motor power off, then on to
reset breaker.
Set function knob to Park
select desired function.
Check connection at J11 (120 V) or
J4 (240 V). See Control Board,
page 41.
Check both sides. Replace brushes
worn to less than 1/2 in. (13 mm),
see Motor Brushes, page 46.
Realign or replace, see Motor
Brushes, page 46.
Clean brush holder and align brush
leads for free movement.
Replace motor, see Electric Motor,
page 46.
Remove motor. Have motor shop
resurface commutator, or replace
motor, see Electric Motor, page 46.
Replace board. See Control Board,
page 41.
Check that cable is connected at fan
and at J9 on control board. See Fan,
page 47 and Control Board, page
41.
Test and replace if necessary, see
Fan, page 47.
Clear, see Maintenance, page 27.
Clean or replace.
Check valves. See your pump
manual.
