Storage

1. Stop the engine and remove the key.
2. Remove dirt and grime from the entire machine.
Important: You can wash the machine with mild
detergent and water. Avoid excessive use of water,
especially near the control panel, engine, hydraulic
pumps, and motors.
3. Service the air cleaner; refer to
Cover (page
86).
4. Grease the machine; refer to
(page
83).
5. Charge the battery; refer to
94).
6. Check and adjust the track tension; refer to
the Tracks (page
99).
7. Check the coolant before winter storage; refer
to
Preparing the Drilling-fluid System for Cold
Weather (page
111).
8. Prepare the drilling-fluid pump for cold weather;
refer to
Preparing the Drilling-fluid System for Cold
Weather (page
111).
9. Check and tighten all bolts, nuts, and screws. Repair or
replace any part that is damaged.
10. Paint all scratched or bare metal surfaces. Paint is
available from your Authorized Service Dealer.
11. Store the machine in a clean, dry garage or storage area.
Remove the key from the ignition switch and keep it in
a memorable place.
12. Cover the machine to protect it and keep it clean.
