10. Lower car and rem ove jack.
Tighten the five bolts evenly by
going around the wheel and
tightening every other bolt until
all the bolts are tight. Observe a
tightening to rque of 10 m k p /
72 Ib-ft.

Tire Inflation Pressure

A table (see fuel fille r flap or last page)
lists the tire inflation pressures sp e ci­
fied fo r sum m er and w inter tires as
well as fo r the varying operating co n ­
ditions.
Tire pressures listed fo r light loads are
m inim um values offering high driving
com fort. Increased inflation p re ssu r­
es fo r heavy loads produce favorable
handling ch aracteristics with lighter
loads and are perfectly perm issible.
The ride of the vehicle, however, will
becom e som ew hat harder.
Tire te m p era tu re and pressure in­
crease with the vehicle speed. Tire
pressure should th erefore only be
corrected on cold tires. C orrect tire
pressure in hot tires only if pressure
has d ro p p e d below the data listed in
the table and the respective operating
conditions are taken into con sidera­
tion.
