Master Key — square head —
fits all locks on the car.
Supplementary Key — rounded head
— fits only the d o o r locks and the
steering lock. This key is intended to
be used w henever the car is left with
an attendant. Be sure to lock glove
com partm en t and tru n k with the m as­
ter key.

Flat Key

> The flat key fits all vehicle
locks.
We recom m end that you
1 carry the flat key with you
I and keep it in a safe place
J so that it is always handy,
™ if needed (e. g. in your
w allet). Never leave the flat
key in the vehicle.

Obtaining Replacement Keys

Replacem ent keys can be obtained
only via MERCEDES-BENZ service
stations. If the keys are lost, assist­
ance is rather tim e consum ing and
expensive.
Opening the Doors
From outside: pull handle
o utw ards (1).
From inside: pull handle in d o o r
trim panel.
Locking and Unlocking of Doors
From the outside: turn key.
From the inside: actuate plunger.

When the rear door p lu n g e r's are
pushed down the rear doors cannot be
opened from the outside or the
inside. They can be opened after pul­
ling plungers up.
One cannot lock:
• the d riv e r's d o o r if it is open.
• any d o o r if the door lock has not
engaged fully. In this case open
the d o or and close it again.
