Adjustment of Driver's Seat and
Front Passenger Seat
Forward and backw ard adjustm ent:
lift handle (1); slide seat to desired po­
sition and allow handle to reengage.
Height of seat: raise lever (2); to raise
seat, move seat forw ard: to lower
seat, m ove seat backw ard; allow lever
to reengage.
Seat back position: turn hand­
wheel (3) forw ard o r backward.
For full reclining of backrest, seat

should be moved to one of the for-
w ardm ost positions and headrest re­
m oved. For driving, return backrest to
up rig h t position and push seat back.
Replace headrest.
Note:
P rior to operating the vehicle, the
d rive r should adjust the seat height
fo r pro per vision as well as fo re -a ft
placem ent and seat back angle to in­
sure adequate control, reach, o p e ra ­
tion, and com fort. The head rest should
also be adjusted fo r pro p e r height so
that when the cushion is tip p ed co m ­
pletely f orw ard, it should form a cradle
behind the seat o ccup a n t's head.
Both the inside and outside rear view
m irrors should then be adjusted fo r
adequate rearward vision. Fasten
seat belts. C hildren under the age of
six or under the w eight of 23 kg /50 lb
should be seated in the back seat
with an approved restraint system
p ro p erly secured.
All seat, headrest, and rear view m ir­
ro r a djustm ents as well asfastening of
seat belts should be accom plished
before the vehicle is put into m otion.
